Position Summary:The role focuses on enhancing user experience through continuous improvement and global strategy development. The individual will oversee project prototypes and documentation, collaborating with various teams to align efforts with business goals. They will also present project decisions to leadership, ensuring usability and quality assurance throughout the development process. Ultimately, the role drives innovative, user-centered design solutions to meet evolving customer needs and market trends.Key Responsibilities:

Research Principles & Practices : Demonstrate expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, ensuring comprehensive understanding of best practices.Data Analysis & Gaps Identification : Apply data analysis techniques to uncover research insights, while identifying gaps in existing information to enhance overall findings.Legal & Ethical Compliance : Recognize and mitigate legal risks related to research material management, ensuring accuracy and adherence to ethical guidelines.Research Strategy Development : Develop and implement a research strategy that aligns with identified needs, ensuring relevancy and usefulness in fulfilling project objectives.Collaboration for Insights : Work effectively with research partners, such as site analytics and consumer insights teams, to integrate diverse data sources into research efforts.User Discovery Techniques : Employ user experience strategies, such as interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiries, to gather insights into user behaviors and preferences.Interaction Design Knowledge : Utilize user-centered design principles to develop interaction patterns, ensuring consistent and scalable design solutions.Prototyping Skills : Leverage prototyping tools and techniques to create dynamic models that showcase user interactions and align with design specifications.Stakeholder Management : Identify and engage stakeholders effectively, understanding diverse market needs to build collaborative partnerships that drive business objectives.Continuous Improvement & Usability Testing : Implement usability testing strategies, monitor user feedback, and iterate on design processes to enhance overall user experience while aligning with business goals.Key Skills Required:

Cultural Alignment : Embody core values, including integrity, ethics, and community impact, while fostering a respectful workplace culture.Servant Leadership : Display humility and transparency, prioritizing the needs of the team and organization.Adaptability to Change : Embrace and promote innovation, while managing digital transformation initiatives alongside Walmart's business goals.Customer-Focused Delivery : Ensure customer satisfaction remains at the forefront of all design and research endeavors, delivering impactful results that align with strategic objectives.Minimum Qualifications:Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 6 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.Option 2: 8 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.3 years’ supervisory experience.Preferred Qualifications:Design certification (for example, IDEOU - Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate).Driving product development in a user experience area.Master's degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related area.Related industry experience (for example, retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare).Knowledge of accessibility best practices and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards.Primary Location:2501 Se J St, Ste A, Bentonville, AR 72716-3724, United States of America
