CHA's dedicated team of electric transmission and substation professionals prioritizes safety and technical excellence - from initial surveying and assessment to planning, permitting, research, and comprehensive design and engineering. We are committed to delivering top-tier solutions for both new and existing electrical power infrastructure. We specialize in all types and the full spectrum of power delivery systems. Whether it's AC or DC, overhead or underground, submarine, or indoor/outdoor installations, we cover it all. Our expertise extends to various insulation mediums, including air, gas, liquid, or solid, catering to transmission, distribution, and generation needs. We seamlessly handle AC/DC conversion across diverse applications, from traditional fossil fuels to cutting-edge renewable energy projects, and our proficiency extends to working with electrical-mechanical systems, seamlessly transitioning from legacy to intelligent protection and control systems. Our recognition in the industry is a testament to our prowess in automation, SCADA, communication design, and engineering.At CHA, our Senior P&C Engineer provides advanced judgment and analysis techniques for the design development of substation relaying and metering diagrams (AC schematic diagrams) and DC schematic diagrams; development of protection and control panel layouts, wiring diagrams and cable schedules; preparation of specifications and Bill of Materials for Protection/Control/Metering/RTU/Communication panels; development of schematic diagram for SCADA and Communication interfaces including RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs; quality control reviews of work developed by other team members; developing sizing calculations for batteries and cables including voltage drop calculations; and providing training and mentoring in P&C design work.The Senior P&C Engineer recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures as well as selects proper procedures to self-check his/her own work for completeness and accuracy in technical reports and calculations. The professional in this role identifies, develops, and gathers technical resources necessary to complete assignments. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Power Systems Engineering requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredMinimum of 4 years of discipline specific engineering experience requiredDemonstrates a strong knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with the proven ability to practically apply engineering best practicesAdvanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)Familiar with QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineeringAbility to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environmentEffective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiencesProficiency with MS Office software requiredAn active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred.SALARY RANGE:
$95,000 - $111,000Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.CULTURE/EEO STATEMENT
