The University of California, San Diego, Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery ( Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery ) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and seeks to recruit vascular and endovascular surgeons with a focus on research and clinical care in the area of advanced open and endovascular surgery.The selected candidates will be responsible for teaching medical students, residents and fellows, conducting independent research, and overseeing all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.A link to full descriptions of each series is provided for your review:HS Clinical ProfessorClinical X ProfessorIn-Residence ProfessorAdjunct ProfessorAs a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities, and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Basic qualifications
(required at time of application)Candidates must have a MD or equivalent.Candidates must be Board eligible or Board certified in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery.Candidates must have completed or be on track of completion of 0+5 or 5+2 fellowship program in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery.Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.Preferred qualificationsCandidates with 2-3 years of experience teaching residents and fellows in vascular surgery, conducting independent research, providing clinical patient care, and a track record of publications are preferred.Application Requirements
