*Completion of the proposed sale of Vantive to funds managed by the Carlyle Group is subject to receipt of customary regulatory approvals and satisfaction of other closing conditions.Your Role At Baxter:As an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Authentication Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining identity and access management (IAM) solutions within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of our identity infrastructure, enabling seamless access to resources while maintaining strict security controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in identity and access management technologies, along with a solid understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.Your Team:You will be part of a newly formed, growing team who supports Baxter's mission to save and sustain lives through our talent.Responsibilities:Implement identity and access management solutions, including user provisioning, authentication, authorization, and single sign-on (SSO) mechanismsDevelop and maintain IAM policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IAM solutions with existing systems and applications, ensuring seamless access for users while maintaining security controlsConduct regular security assessments and audits of IAM systems to identify and remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive dataStay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in identity management, evaluating their potential impact and relevance to our organizationProvide technical guidance and support to internal teams on IAM-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving complex problems as neededParticipate in incident response and security incident management activities, assisting in the investigation and resolution of security breaches or access incidentsDocument IAM configurations, processes, and procedures, ensuring that knowledge is effectively transferred and maintained within the organizationRequired Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field2 years or more of experience in identity and access management, with a focus on implementing and managing IAM solutions in enterprise environmentsPreferred Experience:Master's degreeStrong understanding of authentication protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect) and directory services (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory)Experience with authentication and federation tools, such as Okta or Entra IDProficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Shell scriptingFamiliarity with cloud identity services (e.g., AWS IAM, Azure AD, Google Cloud Identity) and their integration with on-premises systemsSolid understanding of security principles, standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS)Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a timely mannerStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholdersEqual Employment OpportunityBaxter is an equal opportunity employer.
