Research Business Partner , you will be responsible for facilitating and developing relationships and research activities with the medical/scientific community, primarily through Varian's FlashForwardTM Consortium (FFC). The position will serve as a central point of contact between the FlashForwardTM Consortium (FFC) and the related clinical, research, and technical teams within Varian. Additionally, the role will support product commercialization of Flash research products, as well as other proton therapy product enhancements. This may include activities such as working with the New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to ensure readiness for market.You are responsible for:Supporting collaboration framework for all FlashForward Consortium members to conduct research and contribute towards the Flash Program.Coordinating research activities between Consortium member sites, Varian Translational Sciences team, and Flash Product Development teams.Developing bi-directional communication strategy by scheduling regular general and working group meetings, including logistics and content.Negotiating and finalizing agreements for Consortium related activities in accordance with company's contract guidelines and policies.Collaborating with product and commercialization teams to ensure successful launch of Flash and other proton upgrades.Contributing to marketing collateral for product and service offerings.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) and 8 years of related experience or Masters Degree with 6 years of related experience.Knowledge: Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.Exercises independent judgment and discretion in solving complex business problems. Interaction: Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.Supervision: Determines methods and procedures reviewed by others on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).Experience working with scientists and engineers to evaluate research and development activities for potential commercial development.Required Certifications and Training: Obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility.Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with HCM (e.g., Workday) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.Position must have full access to Varian client sites to perform the essential functions of this position. Many clients require Varian employees and representatives to meet certain Vendor Credentialing requirements before they will be allowed to have access to their sites. Unless prohibited by law, position must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of employment in this position. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
