OVERVIEWThe Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing, leading, and executing commodity sourcing strategies for local, regional, and international initiatives. The Global Sourcing Manager identifies the appropriate field resources to execute initiatives, manages supplier relationships, and ensures contracting and procurement standards are maintained throughout the portfolio within North America. Additionally, they serve as the lead liaison for coordinating with other Sourcing Leads in different regions globally to ensure continuity of programs, initiatives, and reporting.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe position interfaces with key internal and external clients to obtain their sponsorship, understand their sourcing needs, perform market research, devise sourcing strategies, lead the supplier selection process (e.g., competitive bidding, partnership development, consolidation/reducing complexities of the buy), and negotiate agreements.Develop sourcing strategies within the assigned category. This includes analyzing category spend to understand the current state, obtaining business requirements from key internal and external clients, identifying and leading cross-functional teams, conducting market research, and creating a sourcing strategy from these elements of due diligence.Execution of sourcing strategies includes identifying and leading cross-functional stakeholder teams, developing and managing the sourcing events (RFX's), and performing all business-related functions of the sourcing initiative, including negotiating contracts.Supplier relationship management includes developing and tracking key performance indicators for the category of spend, facilitating strategic supplier business meetings that drive adherence to contractual agreements, continuous improvement, innovation, and partnership.Partner with the operations team by providing management, detailed instruction, and continuous follow-up to support the operations teams in daily sourcing and supply chain-related activities. Be proactive and manage internal and external customer expectations.Ensure contracting and procurement standards are maintained throughout the portfolio and across business lines. Support service lines in all countries for the preparation and management of budgets. Have insight into sourcing initiatives in all regions to report to leadership as needed.Job DutiesDevelop, lead, and execute commodity sourcing strategies for local, regional, national, and global initiatives for facility and project management services.Develop category plans to provide visibility to subcategory spends, supplier summaries, stakeholder engagement plans, contract summaries, and market insights that lead to both short and long-term strategies.Lead development and execution of all sourcing-related functions: performing due diligence and assessment of prospective suppliers, executing RFPs/bids, negotiating contracts, and ensuring effective transition to operations during implementation.Identify and lead appropriate field resources to execute initiatives, manage supplier relationships as they relate to administrative and operational activities and issues.Ensure contracting and procurement standards, policies, and procedures are maintained and followed throughout the portfolio.Partner with the client and Jones Lang LaSalle Facility Management team to drive both immediate and sustained benefits to the client.Assess and build annual sourcing initiatives that provide detailed service commodity strategies that identify objectives, leveraged spend initiatives, and milestone timelines.Bring strategic thought leadership to accounts to identify additional cost and operational efficiencies.Responsible for communication, coordination, and implementation of local and regional sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations with suppliers and the operations team.Proactively manage internal and external customer expectations.Conduct local and regional Preferred Supplier performance review meetings, manage supplier scorecards, contract compliance, and service obligations.Support e-commerce procurement initiatives either corporate or client mandated.Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine the reasonability of price and contractor capabilities.Report to the client on all sourcing metrics globally.Support a supplier diversity program in accordance with client and company requirements.QUALIFICATIONSStrong computer skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook.5+ years of experience in Sourcing/Supply Chain field. Global experience preferred.Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline a plus.Strong analytical capabilities to evaluate deals and understand what fair and optimal pricing structures are.Experience in developing and negotiating contracts with suppliers.Ability to communicate effectively with business unit clients, internal and external; excellent presentation skills.Ability to develop, enhance, and execute processes and procedures; regularly contributes to the development of new or enhancement of existing business process methodologies and tools.Strong project management skills.Excellent planning, organization, and delivery skills; comfortable in high-pressure situations.Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication to work successfully with a range of stakeholders including consultants, contractors, customers, and staff.Leadership skills for managing contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to meet clear deadlines.
