The Department of Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) seeks an outstanding candidate for a full-time clinical faculty position with Head and Neck/Endocrine Pathology expertise. The academic appointment will be at the rank of Health Sciences Clinical Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Health Sciences Clinical, Clinical X, or In Residence series and will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The incumbent is expected to participate in night and weekend surgical pathology call, departmental teaching activities for medical students, house staff, and fellows, and interdepartmental conferences.
Qualified candidates must hold an MD (or MD equivalent), have a license to practice in the State of California or qualifications to obtain one by the time of appointment, and be board certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology. Applicants with fellowship training within anatomic pathology with diagnostic expertise in Head and Neck Pathology or equivalent in clinical experience at the time of appointment will be given priority; subspecialty training and experience must be included in the applicant's CV. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed a Cytopathology fellowship with eligibility or certification in Cytopathology. Applicants must list (pending) qualifications upon submission. The ideal candidates should have demonstrated interest/success in scholarly activities in Head and Neck Pathology, Endocrine Pathology, and/or Cytopathology. The desirable candidate will also have outstanding diagnostic and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $97,300 - $377,200.
