Description:TEKsystems is in need of a Lead DAS Technician and a CO Technician for our client in the Timonium, MD market! This client specializes in 4 major telecommunications categories- LMR (Land Mobile Radio), IBS (In Building Systems, IDAS), ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems), and Physical Security. They have several in-building projects that they will work on over the next few years, including the construction and maintenance of in-building wireless access points. They are currently supporting projects in the Federal, State, and Local government, education, transportation, and healthcare fields. They have done work with Johns Hopkins, WAMATA, BWI, Ronald Regan Building, and Baltimore Subway systems.This scope specifically is for the BWI central office stand-up. BWI project start-up is happening now and will continue until the end of the year. Experience with AT&T, carrier site builds, tower, DAS, radio builds, etc. are preferred. Team management, task orders, work delegation, and daily work scopes are also important. This project will last for at least 2.5 years, and they plan to cross-utilize techs as needed on other AT&T-based projects.Job Responsibilities:

Looking for 1 Lead DAS/CO Technician with 2+ years of experience in the wireless space and 1+ years leading a team.Must have lead cable experience.Will manage crews of up to 5 technicians depending on the job.Must have low volt coax install, testing, troubleshooting, rack and stacking, dressing, and labeling experience.Some fiber experience is preferred; testing, terminating, pulling, and splicing is a plus, but not necessary.The majority of DAS systems they install are coax and fiber-based.Should be able to train other technicians in the field, including DAS training, cable training, or working through specific carrier expectations.Experience managing DAS or WAP construction can lead to Construction Management or Project Management opportunities in the future.Will work day-to-day with the construction manager, performing site walks, reviewing blueprints, redlines for modifications, delegating jobs to techs based on their strengths, managing inventory, and ensuring construction sites are cleaned when leaving.40-hour work week, with some projects providing opportunities for overtime and prevailing wage.Teams main office is located in Timonium, Maryland; however, jobs are aligned based on technician location.
