The School of Pharmacy Dean’s Office is looking for a seasoned, experienced professional

Project Analyst

who will prepare and submit proposals for the new dual degree programs at the UCSF School of Pharmacy. The incumbent will have a full understanding of analytical practices, policies and procedures; researches, analyzes and develops solutions to a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Primarily deals with policies, programs and proposals which are complex in nature and diverse in scope. Under the direction of the Vice Dean and Chief of Staff, the Project Analyst requires organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

***NOTE: The duration of this role is approximately 3 months.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $116,700 (Annual Rate).

Department Description

The School of Pharmacy (SOP) has been number one in research funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) every year for over four decades. We train our students to think scientifically to solve health care’s most pressing problems and to ensure that each patient receives the safest, most effective, and most cost-effective treatments available. The school is comprised of three academic departments, and one organized research unit located on both the Parnassus and Mission Bay campuses. Its primary clinical training sites are located at the UCSF Medical Center, San Francisco Zuckerberg General Hospital, and the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

The Dean’s Office of the UCSF School of Pharmacy supports the agendas of the dean and the School’s three departments, the ORU and their faculties, through activities in its administrative and advisory units. The School of Pharmacy is the Academic home to approximately 71 faculty, and 701 WOS faculty. The School employs about 271 non-faculty (residents, postdocs, and students), and 220 Staff with an annual operating budget of approximately $170M.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Minimum of 3 years experience.

Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals/analyses.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.

Analytical/problem-solving skills.

Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.

Strong policy analysis techniques.

Ability to work well independently, complete projects in a timely manner, and ensure completion of essential tasks by deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate degree in related area.

Knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
