Senior GeophysicistCollier is seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and organized individual to join our team of experts as a Senior Geophysicist at our Boston, MA office! Primary responsibilities include engaging clients, proposal writing, and leading a variety of geophysical surveys such as borehole logging, electrical resistivity, GPR, seismic, magnetics, and electromagnetics. Expected job tasks will include performing field acquisition, data processing, report writing, presentations, or other digital deliverables.
We are seeking a candidate who has a strong work ethic. You must be disciplined, organized, able to understand and articulate technical/geophysical information, and work well in small teams. The position requires working in various weather and terrain conditions. Candidates must be self-sufficient and capable of physical labor and lifting associated with field instrumentation. Travel is required and at times may be on short notice. Work hours may vary while conducting field investigations.
Qualifications
Bachelors in Geophysics or Geology with emphasis on geophysics
Minimum 5 years of experience
Field methods experience, preferably in seismic, electrical, or electromagnetics
Exposure to data processing with a variety of commercially available software
Proficient in programs such as Microsoft Office, Google Earth, PDF editing, Gmail, etc.
