Responsible for overseeing all branch operations and leading a team in execution of sales and service objectives. The position is responsible for planning and directing all branch functions ensuring compliance, operational, and customer service expectations are met. The position is also responsible for assessing skillsets, assigning resources, and serving as a coach to drive team and individual performance to meet sales and service objectives. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Strictly adheres to Bank Secrecy Act requirements and applies organizational policies and procedures in all activitiesImplements strategy, assesses and monitors performance, motivates and manages a team to meet and exceed service and sales goals objectives as outlined by Bank leadershipRecruits, trains, coaches, leads, schedules, motivates, and evaluates the work of a team which may include Tellers, Personal Bankers, Universal Bankers, Assistant Branch Managers, Head Tellers, and Travel BankersResponsible for optimizing use of resources to meet operational needs of the branchDemonstrates effective sales strategies to attract, expand, and retain customer relationships and guides team to achieve sales objectives through action planningOversees the customer experience within the branch assessing customer and employee feedback, identifying opportunities for improvement, and researching and resolving complex problems to ensure customer service excellenceManages branch safety, security, and complianceProtects against criminal or fraudulent activity, risk or exposurePerforms regular audits of vault and teller cash with proper documentationRepresents the Bank in business development efforts and at networking and community functionsEnsures regular communication with Bank leadershipMaintains knowledge of banking products, programs, services, and promotionsLeads training and staff meetingsApproves policy exceptions within authorized limitsResponsible for achievement of branch objectives, sales and service objectives as set by Bank leadershipResponsible for making outbound calls and external appointments to grow deposit portfolioMay perform all sales and service functions of the branch as neededPractices ethical sales behaviors in accordance with the Bank's Core Values of Integrity and HonestyAlways acts in the best interest of the customer when offering additional products and services
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
Demonstrates leadership skillset with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships, coach, mentor, and retain a high performing teamAble to provide a high level of interactive service to others, building relationships, and addressing identified needsKnowledge of banking policies and proceduresAbility to analyze local market, identify prospects, develop, and execute sales techniques and strategiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsIntermediate PC proficiencyIntermediate proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Office products
Industry and Work Experience:
5 or more years of retail banking experience required3 or more years of bank supervisory, leadership or mentoring experience requiredBranch operations experience requiredCross selling experience requiredSales management and business development experience requiredConsumer credit experience required
Academic:
High school diploma or GED requiredBachelor's degree in finance or related field preferred.
