Overview: The AI Frameworks team at Microsoft develops the AI software used to train and deploy the world's most advanced AI models. We build state-of-the-art AI compilers and design new AI programming abstractions for Microsoft's supercomputers and next-generation AI hardware. Our inter-disciplinary team operates at the intersection of compiler engineering, programming language design, algorithmic innovation, AI, and high-performance computing. We are seeking a talented and collaborative Principal Software Engineer to join our AI Compiler effort. In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.Responsibilities:Leading design and development of AI software in C/C++, Python, and other languages.Leading teams to implement innovative new compiler features and optimization passes.Developing code generation techniques for novel hardware platforms.Optimizing AI workloads.Designing new programming abstractions for AI.Collaborating broadly across multiple disciplines from hardware architects to ML developers.Identifying requirements, scoping solutions, estimating work, and scheduling deliverables.Helping establish and drive the adoption of outstanding coding standards and patterns and enhancing our inclusive engineering culture.Embodying our Culture and Values.
