ALL
students are prepared for college, career, and life. And the results? Well, they speak for themselves. AVID provides 2.5 million students annually with the tools they need to think critically, collaborate, and set high expectations to confidently conquer the challenges that await them. We accomplish this work by training over 85,000 educators every year through in-person and virtual professional learning opportunities. WHAT IS THE JOB? The Senior Business Systems Analyst engages with company business units to analyze functions and activities to improve processes for the most effective use of business applications and systems under the direction of the Director of Business Applications and Processes. The Senior Business Systems Analyst gathers, documents, and assesses business information, processes, procedures, methods, schedules, and systems to identify and recommend optimal business solutions. WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THIS ROLE? Work closely with Technology Services, Project Management Office, Business Services, other AVID Center teams, and external partners and vendors to identify opportunities to build communication and training to ease the introduction of new technologies and improve business processes. Act as the information technology liaison and representative for multiple business units and functional areas. Gain an in-depth understanding of our business processes, translate them into functional diagrams, and document key processes, requirements, knowledge articles, and user documentation. Maintain a deep awareness of how business processes help stakeholders explore technology possibilities to execute their operations more effectively. Define and develop standard operating procedures and perform periodic system activity reviews. Develop and deliver training resources for technical and business applications to ease their adoption by end users and other stakeholders. Evaluate business processes from end-to-end to identify and address gaps and operational, financial, and technological risks. Assess business process and system inefficiencies, identify gaps between business requirements and application capabilities, and recommend solutions. Proactively identify process and system improvement opportunities, including integrating new systems and processes with existing ones to meet long-term technology strategies. Translate end users’ business needs into business requirements, user stories, and reporting requirements to be delivered to the information technology development team for reports, dashboards, systems enhancements, development, or new client applications. Use complex business process analysis and design to identify, create, and facilitate the quality improvement cycle. Assist in conducting research on vendors and software products to meet agreed-upon requirements and support vendor relationship efforts. Participate in the selection and documentation of technology solutions that the organization may opt to use. Manage and support business applications in the form of cloud and internally hosted solutions. WHO ARE YOU? You are a
