The Team:Mattel's US Commercial Marketing team localizes the global brand strategy to perform in our largest market. The team is responsible for line selection, creating pricing, overseeing the local P&L and driving the go-to-market strategy for the U.S. The Associate Marketing Manager for the Disney Dolls business will drive marketing, business operations and customer management activities for the brand and product line to achieve financial growth and profit targets.

The Opportunity:The Associate Marketing Manager will provide marketing, business operations, and customer management activities for the brand and product line to achieve financial growth, hit profit targets, and deliver against KPIs. The Associate Marketing Manager will support the Marketing Manager who is responsible for managing our Disney Dolls portfolio.

What Your Impact Will Be:

Manage part of the portfolio day-to-day marketing activities, including local insights collection and synthesis of performance or brand/products

Leverage data to derive insights and provide recommendations to strengthen brand recognition and POS

Manage commercialization of the brands including channel segmentation programs, first to market and retailer selection

Deliver item-level forecasting, tracking, and performance roll-ups to impact marketing strategy

Drive short-term promotional plan and execution by brand and across customers

Develop your brand by activating key marketing programs in the US market

Drive marketing execution by working with a cross-functional team inclusive of Sales, Global Brand Marketing, Customer Marketing, etc.

Work with external licensor (Disney); provide quarterly forecasts, collaborate on US marketing programs

Develop an expertise in the category to help drive decisions that lead to business growth

Education required:

Bachelors degree in marketing, business or related field; MBA preferred

Experience, knowledge, skills required:

Minimum 5 years (3 years with MBA) experience in consumer or brand marketing

Advanced understanding of standard marketing techniques

Demonstrated leadership, strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

Excellent written/verbal, time management and quantitative/analytical skills required

Ability to take conclusions from data and communicate and present those actionable insights to leadership and business executives

Comfortable taking ownership to drive discussions with cross functional partners resulting in a consensus recommendation

The annual base salary range for this position is between $115,000 and $125,000. This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.
