Per Diem - 7:00am - 3:30pm

Rate of Pay:

$19.75/hr.

Who you are:Current CA Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification requiredPrior experience as an EMT is preferred and/or experience in a similar field or senior livingCurrent CA driver's license requiredCurrent CA Guard Card a plusAbility to work holidays and weekends

Job Summary:

The Safety Officer (EMT) provides emergency medical responses to residents and staff and initiates appropriate action. Responsible for the general safety of residents, staff, guests, buildings, grounds, minor emergency maintenance functions, and other required duties.

Essential Job DutiesResponds to resident and staff emergency medical situations, makes assessments, and initiates appropriate medical responsesPatrols interior and exterior of buildings and groundsMonitors the welfare of residents by performing daily status check proceduresResponds to all emergency calls, i.e., medical, fire, life-safety, and securityRecords all significant observations/happenings and other appropriate documentationResponds to minor maintenance calls in the absence of on-duty maintenance personnel. Immediately contacts physical plant staff for life-safety equipment malfunction repairEscorts residents and staff as needed. Provides other personal services, i.e.: delivering medications, packages, newspapers, flowers, etc., and other duties as assignedMonitors and controls parking on propertyMonitors and controls access to Casa buildings by residents, staff, and visitorsTransports staff to off-site employee parking as needed

All Employees must be able to pass background checks (fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, employment references) as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some of the roles in our community require that we ask about your COVID-19 vaccination status.
