Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing accredited by the National League for Nursing (NLN) or an approved foreign credential evaluation, plus one year of professional nursing experience
Licensure, Certification, or other Qualifications
* Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse.* Applicants must possess a valid State of Illinois Registered Nurse license at the time of employment.
Selection Requirements
This position requires applicants to complete an interview which will include a skills assessment as part of the interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the process of the interview will be selected.
Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:
* Previous experience working with diverse populations* Previous experience working in a clinical setting* Bi-lingual proficiency* Familiarity with the IDPH lead code and families with children under 6 years of age (Lead PHN II)* Previous experience in maternal/child health and home visiting (Family Connects PHN II)* Previous experience in infectious disease (TB PHN II)* Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite
APPLICATION EVALUATION: Initial evaluation will be based on information provided on the application and the documents submitted. Department of Human Resource staff will review applications after the final posting date. Staff will follow any and all required Employment/Hiring Plan provisions, federal, state and local laws, and Collective Bargaining Agreements when applicable.
