Job DescriptionJob Title: Registered Nurse - Maternal Child Health (MCH)
Job Specialty: Post Partum - Critical Need
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12 hours, 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience:- Minimum of 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience- Preferred: Three years of labor and delivery experience- Preferred: Three years of postpartum experience- Preferred: One year of medical/surgical nursing experience
License:- Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
Certifications:- Basic Life Support (BLS)- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Must-Have: Ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring
Job Description:- Graduate of an accredited nursing program- Demonstrated IV skills and ability to perform lab draws- Demonstrated knowledge of high-risk medication administration (Magnesium/Oxytocin/Insulin)- Ability to perform Urine Point of Care testing- Knowledge of capillary blood glucose testing- Knowledge of IStat- Ability to perform adult cardiac monitoring- Knowledge of newborn monitors, including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring- Ability to perform heel sticks/venipuncture on newborns- Knowledge of newborn medication, including the ability to perform IV administration and maintenance- Knowledge of bili-blankets/lights- Knowledge of radiant warmers- Ability to support gyn teaching and post-operative bladder training- Ability to support maternal-newborn teaching
