We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team, providing direct clinical and administrative support under the supervision of a licensed medical practitioner or nurse. This role involves preparing exam rooms, assisting with patient exams, performing diagnostic tests, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, highly organized, and able to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare exam and treatment rooms, including supplies and instruments.Assist in patient examinations and procedures as directed by the physician.Take and record vital signs in the patient's medical chart.Perform EKGs, pulmonary function tests, audiometry, phlebotomy, and other lab tests as needed after training.Complete patient records, file documents, and assist with billing procedures.Maintain office systems using computer software and uphold patient confidentiality.Provide care tailored to specific patient needs, including consideration of age, culture, language, and sensory impairments.Support cross-coverage within other offices in a 2-mile radius when needed (float requirement).Qualifications:Education:
High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.Certifications:
Current AHA BLS certification and one of the following Medical Assistant certifications:
CMA-NHA (National Healthcareer Association)CMA-NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing)CMA-AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants)RMA-AMT (American Medical Technologists)RMA-NAHP (National Association for Health Professionals)AMCA (American Medical Certification Association)NCMA (National Certification Medical Association)
