MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
At least two years of related college education, an AA degree, or meet the Highly Qualified requirements by passing the Work Keys Exam.Maintain confidentiality of student records, meet scheduled deadlines, read/interpret/apply rules, regulations, policies and rapidly learn methods and materials used in a variety of ways.Maintains specialized and classroom equipment and student's files/records as pertain to special education files/records for the purpose of ensuring a safe and appropriate learning environment.Understand and appropriately interpret IEP's; and work independently in the absence of direct teacher contact; to carry out the goals and objectives of an IEP.Assist, as requested, in communication between students, teachers and parents.Monitors individual students, classroom and/or playground activities for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.Performs recordkeeping and basic clerical functions, scheduling, copying, etc. for the purpose of supporting the teacher in maintaining student files and providing classroom materials.Develops materials for student IEP implementation.Utilizes district approved de-escalation and physical intervention techniques when needed.Prompt and regular attendance
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:4 day school week.Health plan options through OEBB - District contribution toward medical insurance.
QulaificationsMust be 18 years or olderHold a high school diploma or the equivalentMust meet district Para Professional qualifications.AA Degree or completed two years of study at an institution of higher education or pass the Work Keys Exam.Must be self-motivated and dependable
