Penn Medicine is seeking a PRN Pediatric NP for the Well Baby Nursery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) for one shift per week.
We are looking for a certified pediatric nurse practitioner to join our vibrant team of four advanced practice providers.
In this position, your role will include but not limited to
+ Assess, diagnose and treat newborns in collaboration with the attending physicians.
+ Perform circumcisions (in house training provided).
+ Provide new resident orientation and support their education.
+ Fulfill selected administrative tasks that are pertinent to patient care.
Job Summary:
All CRNPs function under the guidelines as designed by the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center medical staff guidelines and are credentialed through that body. The CRNP will be held accountable through a formal job description, delineation of privileges, and through their agreement with their collaborating physician and a Collaborative Practice Agreement. All clinical work hours and associated requirements will be defined and managed under the direction of the collaborating physician/division designee, and within the Human Resource guidelines.
The Nurse Practitioner contributes to excellence in education, leadership, professional contribution and practice.
Licensures/Certifications/Education:
+ Masters Degree in Nursing Practice (required)
+ PA RN licensure (required)
+ PA NP licensure (required)
+ PA prescriptive authority (required)
+ Board Certification (required)
+ Credentialing through OMA (required)
+ ACLS in acute setting (required)
+ AHA BLS in ambulatory setting (required)
