THE OPPORTUNITY: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Trauma Surgery
THE LOCATION: Williamsport, Pennsylvania
Ready for a change? We have an excellent, full time opportunity available for an experienced NP or PA to join our orthopedic trauma surgery team in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
The staff is friendly and team oriented to work with and the focus is on providing the highest level of care. An excellent mentoring environment is available, as well.
You will be joining a dedicated team of 2 orthopedic trauma surgeons and 6 NPs/PAs at this busy Level II Trauma Center.
Details include:
-Fifteen-12 hour shifts per month to include 2 weekends and 5-night shifts
-Rotating holiday coverage
-Option to block schedule (ex: 7 on/7 off)
-Variety of inpatient, outpatient and surgical first assist opportunities
-Perform procedures (fracture reduction, splinting, skeletal traction pin, etc), inpatient rounding, preoperative assessment and planning, post-operative discharge planning, evaluation of ED trauma patients, evaluate and develop treatment plans for outpatient orthopedic trauma patients (surgical and nonoperative management), serve as first assist in OR. Collaborate with Podiatry and Plastic Surgery teams for management of ankle, foot, wrist and hand injuries.

THE QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must be licensed (or eligible) as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Pennsylvania
-At least 1 year of NP/PA experience in Orthopedics, Acute Care Surgery or Orthopedic Trauma is required
