Paraprofessional (Track 1)
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to understand oral and written instructions and to work independently when required.
Reports to: Student Service Coordinator
Position Goals: To help provide an educational environment where students can learn and teachers can teach. Paraprofessionals shall work under the direct supervision of the case manager, classroom teacher, or related service provider to assist with students' daily programming.
Performance Responsibilities: Works with students to help achieve IEP goals within the classroom setting. Provides carry-over between the classroom and related services. Supports classroom teacher and case manager with activities to support student learning (copying, laminating, typing, correcting, modifications, accommodations, etc) Helps students needing help individually and in small groups. Performs other reasonable duties as may be requested by supervisor Prepares and/or creates materials for classroom activities. Maintains confidentiality of non-public school district information.
