The cancer specialists at Sibley Memorial Hospital provide surgical, radiation and medical oncology and inpatient oncology services in Washington, D.C. metro area. As part of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center (hopkinsmedicine.org) patients are able to receive the world renown treatments, including clinical trials and immunotherapy, of Johns Hopkins Medicine without leaving the region. Sibley Memorial Hospital - Johns Hopkins Medicine, is a non-profit, full service 318 bed acute care community hospital located in the beautiful Palisades neighborhood of Washington, DC.
What you will do!
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the direct and indirect care of patients in the Oncology Unit, 5A. Plans, organizes, and directs staff in order to meet workload demand and maintain operational efficiency. Role includes clinical practice, staff development, consultation, leadership, and support. Works with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure lines of communication are open and processes for quality patient care and problem resolution are in place and utilized. Develops and monitors quality improvement issues and assures team members are competent to provide care for patients. Understands, utilizes, and is able to interpret and follow hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Serves as a representative of the hospital and as a clinical role model in all interactions with patients, family visitors, physicians, and other staff members.
Who Should Apply:Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia.Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.Minimum of 2 years RN experience in acute care setting.Oncology Certification (ONS) required.Current CPR Certification required.

Salary Range: Minimum $52.72 per hour - Maximum $81.72 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
