Allen Hospital is the busiest hospital in the Cedar Valley. We care for more inpatients, outpatients, emergency patients and cardiac patients than any other hospital in our 10-county service area. United Medical Park and Prairie Parkway offer outpatient care in facilities that are built for your comfort and convenience.Full-time opportunity to join experienced team (2MD and 2APP)Efficient, well-supported pulmonary clinic located on hospital campusExperienced, dedicated, and supportive staffSchedule: Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30Shared call coverage with work/life balance204 bed hospital with established Hospitalist TeamSupport from a full range of dedicated specialists and subspecialistsOutpatient clinic equipped with 6 consultation rooms & 1 procedure room12 bed ICU with IntensivistCardio and Pulmonary Rehab onsiteFully integrated system with clinic and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination
Rewarding mix between outpatient and inpatientCritical care, hospital consults, pulmonary procedures, and outpatient medicineAverage outpatient volume: 16-20 patients per dayAverage 5 patient consults daily (clinic hours only)3-4 patients daily census in ICUFull range of office care and diagnostic services for patients with lung disorders such as chronic obstructive lung disease, asthma, sleep apnea, interstitial lung disease, lung nodule, and lung cancerUltrasound, Lab, PFT, and Respiratory Therapist on siteSpacious fully equipped surgical roomExposure to procedures: endobronchial US guided bronchoscopy, CT guided bronchoscopy, pleurx placement, thoracentesis, arterial lines, central lines, dialysis catheters, Chest tube management/placementAbility to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
MD or DOBoard Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Critical CareAbility to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of StateHold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practiceEligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)J-1 waiver sponsorship availableWe offer
