Assist in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and managing instruments and supplies.Provide pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative care tailored to cardiovascular surgical patients.Maintain meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation of patient care and surgical activities.Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Adhere to hospital protocols and regulatory standards to maintain high-quality care and safety in the operating room.
Candidate requirements
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; an advanced degree in Nursing is preferred.Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon.Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) nursing, with a focus on cardiac surgery.Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) or Cardiovascular Nursing is preferred.
