**The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Orlando**
+ Established in 1997 and now a 203-bed hospital
+ AdventHealth Celebration Health was designed as a Mediterranean resort-style facility to serve as a cornerstone of health in Disney's planned community of Celebration, Florida
+ The hospital consistently delivers a state-of-the-art healing environment to residents of Osceola, Orange, Polk and Lake Counties, as well as to visitors from across the United States and the world. All within a 'living laboratory' of groundbreaking, research-driven clinical solutions that integrate mind, body and spirit in the defeat of illness and disease
**The role you'll contribute:**
Provides patients with support treatment, care, and evaluations prior to and during transportation.
**The value you'll bring to the team:**
Identifies, intervenes, and stabilizes patients during transport, under the direction of the medical director and protocols
Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments, as appropriate
Educates patients and family members about patient illnesses and clinical interventions
Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure the safety of transport team members, patients, and the general public
Monitors and anticipates needs for additional equipment and appropriately secures tools to meet patient care demands during transport
Operates emergency vehicles safely in a variety of weather and emergent conditions in accordance to established safety standards.
Effectively communicates delays and updates to dispatch. Immediately reports any damage or vehicle issues to the supervisor
Responsible for maintaining equipment between transports. Maintains the unit in a constant state of readiness
Adheres to department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Ensures patient documentation is accurate, complete and is in compliance at all times
Completes medication, supplies and equipment inventories each shift, restocking as needed.  Completes and submits logs as per department protocol
Performs other duties as assigned
**The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:**
**Minimum qualifications** :
Graduated from an Paramedic program
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certification
Paramedic license required from the respective state board and/or respective state equivalent
Valid Class E State Drivers License (or comparable state license), or Commercial
License (CDL), and driving record in accordance with facility policy
Commercial Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) (May be completed after hire) or Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC)
Ability to determine the nature of patient conditions and assess whether patients have pre-existing medical conditions
Ability to identify and treat life threatening conditions within the paramedic's field of practice
Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
**Preferred qualifications:**
Associates of Science in health-related field
