Job Description

Role Overview:

Join MSK's team of over 900 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert cancer care! As an APP, you'll play a vital role in caring for short-stay surgical patients, managing their recovery from the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) through discharge. You'll collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless, patient-centered care, focusing on both the medical and emotional needs of patients and their families. In this dynamic role, you'll act as a patient flow coordinator, ensuring smooth transitions through recovery while enhancing care processes. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to innovative process improvements and implement impactful patient education programs. Key Qualifications:

* Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations* Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)* 3 or more years of related clinical experience* PACU or surgery experience preferred

OR

* Graduate from an accredited PA program* NCCPA certification* Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure* PACU or surgery experience preferred

Core Skills:

* Work collaboratively with physicians and a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver seamless, patient-centered care.* Provide expert, comprehensive care to surgical oncology patients, addressing their unique medical and psychosocial needs.* Manage the medical care of patients across all stages of their surgical oncology treatment.* Contribute to the development and implementation of patient education and clinical support initiatives, ensuring optimal care throughout every phase of the healthcare continuum.

Additional Information:

Hours:6a-6pm Monday - Friday with Saturday and holiday coverage required.

Location: 1275 York Ave

Pay Range: 144k-182k
