Job Details
ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for a highly motivated and skilled Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work in our Cardiovascular Critical Care Complex (Medical). This can either be an 80 hour or 72 hour biweekly position on our Newark campus. The hours will be mainly 7a-7p with rotating coverage. Responsibilities in the unit include admitting and managing multiple critically ill patients in collaboration with intensivists, fellows, and residents. The ideal candidate for this position is comfortable working in a high acuity, fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy. It is preferred that candidate have at least 1 year of critical care experience, but new graduates will be considered. Formal individualized onboarding and orientation will be provided.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
* Physician Assistant must be a graduate of an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program and have NCCPA Certification* Nurse Practitioner requires a Masters' degree, with degree specialization as Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner* Preferred minimum of 1 year critical care experience, will consider new graduates* License or license eligible for the State of Delaware* Prescriptive authority and controlled substance license for state of Delaware* Federal DEA* BLS and ACLS certification
