Responsibilities

The Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore brings together leaders in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic conditions affecting the foot and ankle. Our orthopedic specialists, led by Dr. Clifford Jeng, Medical Director of the Institute, include some of the nation's best innovators and pioneers in treatment development. The Physician Assistant/NursePractitioner will work primarily in the foot and ankle clinic running their own clinic as well as assisting the attendings in the office. They will also have occasional days in the OR as a First Assist.

Requirements

* Must be the graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program* 1 year experience required* Orthopedic experience preferred* License requirements: Current State License* Must be CPR certified* EPIC experience preferred however not required.* Must be computer literate or learn within 6 months, be able to follow written and oral instructions, be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.* Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action, be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.* Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
