Part-Time - Days

Baltimore, Maryland

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will administer complex respiratory therapy procedures to evaluate and treat individuals with compromised cardiopulmonary functions due to developmental defects, aging, physical injury, or disease. This involves:

* Assessment: Evaluating respiratory status through diagnostic tests and physical exams.* Treatment Planning: Developing personalized care plans tailored to the patient's condition.* Therapy Administration: Implementing respiratory care techniques such as mechanical ventilation, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy.* Monitoring: Continuously tracking patient progress and adjusting treatments as needed.* Education: Instruct patients and families on managing respiratory conditions and using equipment at home.

Qualifications

* Education:* Associate's Degree (required)* Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred)* Graduate from an AMA-approved program by the National Board of Respiratory Care in Respiratory Therapy (required)

* Certifications:* Registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Therapist (required)* Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Maryland Board of Physician Quality Assurance (required)* CPR certification (required)* ACLS certification (preferred)

* Experience:* Two years of experience as a Respiratory Technician (preferred)
