Position Summary

A Security Officers main function is to observe and report. Mulligan Security is looking for a Full Time Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for clients and employees. They will detect suspicious activity, monitor the premises, and report all incidents in a timely fashion. Must be EMT certified. Security License can be obtain through the Mulligan Security, Training School.

Essential Job ResponsibilitiesSecures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.Prevent damage or injury by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; deter trespassers.Respond to alarms or calls of distress.Complies with all Post Orders for siteIdentify visitors and ask for appropriate documentationUse radios and/or cell phones to stay in contact with Security personnelCall for Police assistance if necessaryShares knowledge of site responsibilities with new employeesRegulate and monitor building systemsOperate screening machinery including X-ray machines, magnetometers, and wands.

Working Conditions

Physical RequirementsMust be able to report to work on time in all types of weatherMust be able to meet Face to Face Relief criteria by extending past shift off times while waiting for post relief, working over 8 hours in a shift (adhering to applicable Federal and state Overtime regulations if applicable)Must be able to work outside for extended periods of time in all types of weather, including rain, snow, extreme cold and extreme heat.Able to stand for prolonged periods of time

Minimum QualificationsEducation: High school diploma/GEDEMT Certified18 years of ageSecurity Guard training and/or license (or be willing to obtain)Have the legal right to work in the United StatesDriver's License (if contractually required)State Photo IdentificationSuccessful completion of a drug test and pre-employment screening requirementsFireguard license (if contractually required)Medical exam (if contractually required)Verifiable Security Experience (between 1 year to 3 years, depending on contract)

A competitive compensation package.

The rate for this role is $45.00 - $50.00 hourly.
