Cascades East is located in Klamath Falls, Oregon, providing an incredible rural medicine experience. Residents enjoy numerous outdoor opportunities and the scenery of the Cascade mountain range. The clinic is a certified Patient Centered Primary Care Medical Home, with an emphasis on team-based care and innovation. Sky Lakes Medical Center, the hospital at which the Cascades East Family Medicine Center is based, is the only hospital for the Klamath Basin, which serves over 100,000 people. The combination of a strong medical community and populations with significant health care needs makes Klamath Falls a unique setting to practice primary care. Providers work within a collaborative interprofessional team to practice the full scope of family medicine, often caring for entire families from newborns all the way to grandparents.
The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.

Function/Duties of Position
The provider will be involved in eight half days with direct patient care, and the supervision of students and other university learners at the Cascades East Family Medicine Center. A half of a work day is provided for administration and a half of a work day is provided for scholarly activities. The expected work week for this position will be flexible with rotating Saturdays and some of the weekday hours would be in the evening.
The faculty member will be expected to have a strong commitment to developing the practice into a vibrant clinical and academic operation, which is successful from both a professional and business point of view.
The faculty member will be expected to participate in continuing education, professional and faculty development and scholarship.
The duties include:
* Work collaboratively with full and part time faculty to maintain an active practice* The Appointee will directly see patients in their clinic eight half days per week and have two half day's available for administrative duties.* Expectations for number of patients seen per half day will be commensurate with that of other faculty and with minimum target numbers of 8-10 visits per half day depending on complexity of the patient population.* The Appointee will be expected to document using the electronic health record and maintain complete and timely patient care documentation consistent with OHSU and Cascade East Family Medicine Center and Sky Lakes Medical Center policies and procedures.* Be available for teaching activities.
Required Qualifications
* Current Nurse Practitioner license for the state of Oregon, State of Oregon Nurse Practitioner Prescriptive Privileges, and DEA certification.
* Current Physician Assistant license for the state of Oregon, Prescriptive privileges, and DEA certification.
