Summary:PMG Clinical Operations Nurse Informatics Specialist supports Presbyterian Medical Group Primary and Urgent Care health care practices by collaborating to oversee PMG data analytics and technology to optimize workflow, improve clinical processes, support clinical decision making and enhance patient outcomes.PMG Clinical Operations Nurse Informatics Specialist further uses their knowledge of patient care combined with their understanding of informatics concepts and methods to:* Evaluate and refine clinical processes, clinical decision support systems and clinical applications;* Lead or participate in implementation and continuous improvement of clinical information systems.Collaborates with the PDS clinical informatics to design and support to include (but not limited to): Utilizing the electronic medical record functionality to promote safe, quality patient care, and clinical initiatives related to clinical operations.This role will oversee and coordinate different related projects, understands, and develops timely project metrics that effectively measure and align actions and outcomes to the strategic organizational and departmental goals. Assists the clinic, or department, leadership with operational efforts as requested; may include project implementation, program outreach, process improvement, and initiative support.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required in Nursing or Healthcare related field.If bachelors degree in field other than nursing, Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required. Nursing degree must be from an accredited School of Nursing State of New Mexico Registered Nursing License required.Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience required.
Minimum of 2 years in Ambulatory outpatient clinic
Experience using outlook applications to collect and analyze data preferred
Develop and utilizing electronic health records and clinical applications preferred.
Clinical Informatics certification preferred.
Education:Bachelor Degree
Credentials:Registered Nurse-NM
BLS Certification required at time of hire.
