POSITION SUMMARY $5,000 Sign on Bonus for eligible new hires The ER Technician provides patient care and operational support for patients in the Emergency Room (ER) during varying states of health and illness. The ER Technician functions as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team and must be able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities while demonstrating excellent communication skills. The ER Technician registers and admits patients for inpatient and outpatient services. Obtains necessary information from patients; verifies demographic information and obtains necessary information to do insurance pre-certification follow-up with insurance carriers. Enters the necessary information to complete a patient registration or inpatient admission into the Hospital computer system. #Duties are performed in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, within the scope of an LNA or EMT, under the direction and supervision of the nurse manager.# QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School or the equivalent.
