We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Histotechnologist to join our team. As a Histotechnologist, you will play a vital role in preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination by pathologists. Your expertise in tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and slide preparation will contribute to accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment decisions.
Responsibilities:Processing tissue specimens using various techniques, including fixation, dehydration, embedding, and sectioningPerforming routine and special stains on tissue sectionsOperating and maintaining histology laboratory equipmentEnsuring proper identification and labeling of specimens and slidesCollaborating with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure high-quality resultsMaintaining accurate records and documentation of laboratory procedures and test resultsAdhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related fieldCertification as a Histotechnologist (HTL) or Histotechnician (HT) by ASCP or equivalentMinimum of [X] years of experience in histology laboratory workProficiency in tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining techniquesKnowledge of laboratory equipment operation and maintenanceFamiliarity with laboratory quality control and quality assurance proceduresExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentKnowledge of safety protocols and infection control measures
