For more information, please visit https://TheLincolnCenter.comPosition Summary:The Interventionist will provide cognitive behavioral risk reduction groups and counseling, The Interventionist is responsible for establishing a professional and supportive first contact for intake, will conduct initial screenings for services, and provide ongoing support.Duties & Responsibilities• Facilitating cognitive behavioral risk reduction education for groups of incarcerated individuals.• Conducting clinical assessments of incarcerated individuals.• Provision of clinical intervention including individual counseling.• Facilitating one-on-one and small group professional development with Southern State Correctional Facility's clinical staff.• Completion of all reporting and documentation as required by VT DOC.• Participation in Risk Intervention Services meetings.Skills & Knowledge:• Ability to be flexible and meet deadlines• Multi-tasking capability• Strong client relationship-building skills• Ability to communicate clearly• Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word• Strong organizational skills• Ability to handle confidential files• Detail oriented• Bilingual a plus"Transforming lives and communities - one moment, one choice, one connection at a time"

Education & Experience:• Minimum of Master degree in Social Work or related human service field• License Social Work (LSW/LCSW) preferred.• Trained as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).• Previous experience working with incarcerated individuals.• Ability to effectively communicate with correctional staff, administrators, and incarcerated individuals.• Preference will be given to individuals that have been licensed in the state of Vermont.• All appropriate clearances including FBI Criminal Background Check, Vermont State Police Background Criminal Check, and any background clearances required to work in VT DOC facilities.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
