Job DescriptionThis position is located at our Willows, CA Clinic.
We are seeking a FNP/PA to deliver primary medical care to a wide variety of NVIH patients. They will be responsible for caring for patients of all ages, maintaining accurate and current patient records and administering follow-up appointments to patients as required. The successful candidate will work with a team to assist in delivering premium care to each and every patient.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Obtains a detailed history and performs physical examination on all patients.Documents history, exam, and assessment in medical record appropriately.Orders ancillary services such as X-ray, lab, pulmonary function tests, etc., interpreting and evaluating the results.Consults and collaborates with other specialists and clinic staff as required.Prescribes appropriate treatments following established clinic protocols.Participates actively in the clinic Quality Assurance Program.Assists in the development, implementation, and revision of advanced practice nurse/PA protocols and standards of care.Able to assess 14 patients per shift (7-8 hour work day) under normal working conditions.

Experience and SkillsCurrent California licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Out-of-state license is accepted, but must be able to obtain California license within one year.Prefer DEA number registration.Current BLS CPR Certification.Reliable transportationPrefer ACLS certificationPrefer Masters Degree in Nursing for NP.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Works well with other health care professionals.Maintains confidentiality of patient information in clinic and community setting.Demonstrates knowledge and skill in age appropriate care, and uses growth and development knowledge to plan care for all age groups.Motivated to improve patient care and the work place by participating in clinic meetings, committees, and community projects when appropriate.
