+ Education

+ Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)

required. . Current licensure in Arkansas as a Registered Nurse.

+ Experience

+ Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in oncology or a related field preferred. Experience in patient navigation or case management is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare providers. Comfortable with public speaking. Strong leadership skills including organization, problem solving and multi-tasking. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technologies.

+ JOB SUMMARY

+ The Cancer Patient Navigator is a member of the navigation team with experience in oncology services who navigates patients throughout the process of the continuum of cancer care from diagnosis, treatment, to survivorship in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, and according to agreed clinical guidelines, with the objective of coordinating high quality patient care across all care delivery sites. Provides education and resources to facilitate informed decision-making and timely access to quality health and psychosocial care throughout all phases of the cancer continuum. The Patient Navigator serves as a vital point of contact for patients diagnosed with cancer, guiding them through the complexities of the healthcare system. This role is responsible for providing personalized support, education, and resources to enhance the patient experience from diagnosis through treatment and survivorship.
