Women & Infants Hospital is seeking a full time Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join our collaborative team in Providence, Rhode Island. You will enjoy spending 50% of your time providing outpatient care at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Care Center (OGCC) and the remaining time concentrating on complex family planning.

Obstetrics and Gynecology Care Center (OGCC)

* Work alongside six physicians, four NP/CNMs and Ob/GYN Residents with 26 exam rooms and four rooms dedicated to procedures.* Enjoy a full spectrum practice of both obstetrics and gynecology with an average of 16-18 patients per day* Great support with dedicated Medical Assistants and Registered nurses to review labs.* Manage own panel, provide urgent care, prescription refills and patient education* The OGCC is open 8am -5pm Monday Friday* Administrative time during the work week* Clinical supervision and teaching of Brown University medical students

Complex Family Planning

* Provides family planning clinical care, which may include, but is not limited to:* Pregnancy options counseling* Pre-abortion evaluation* Obstetric ultrasound* In-office abortion care* Abortion follow-up care* Contraceptive management

* Coordinates management of all referrals to the Complex Family Planning team and coordinating with the inpatients obstetric team at Women and Infants including:* Triages utilization of OR time* Schedules OR cases and appointments in complex family planning clinics, prioritizing patients based on complexity, gestational age, and other relevant factors* Ensures recommended patient follow up* Manages timely communication with patients, referring practices, and any consulting physicians
