aerospace client
is looking for an
Occupational Health Nurse
who will p rovide nursing services and first aid to employees or persons who become ill or injured at work facilities.

Occupational Health NursePay Rate:
$44/hr. on W2Duration:
9 months or longerSchedule:
9/80 schedule Monday through Thursday 6:30 am-4:00 pm, every other Friday 6:30-3:00 pm
Overview:Provides nursing services to employees who become ill or suffer an injury.
Administer first-aid; dispense standard OTC medicines such as aspirin/cough or cold tablets, and pain relievers; attend subsequent dressings of injuries; maintain records of person treated.Responsibilities :Provide nursing services and first aid to employees or persons who become ill or injured at work facilities.
Delivers OSHA and job/site-required surveillance program services such as hearing conservation or biological monitoring to employee populations in collaboration with appropriate functional teams.
Maintains accurate recordkeeping in compliance with OSHA requirements; provides health promotion and disease prevention strategies; provides counseling, health education, and training programs as applicable.
May work with industrial toxicology and/or hygienists to recognize environmental factors and/or stresses in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or discomfort among the workersWhat does a typical day look like?Monday morning-employee return to work clearance, Monday afternoon follow-up exams with the doctor;
Tuesday- full-day bloodwork, PFTs, audio exams;
Wednesday -medical unit work, addressing walk-ins;
Thursday- follow-up exams with the doctorBasic Qualifications:U.S. Citizenship required.
5 years of nursing experience in either Occupational/Employee Health, hospital setting, or health clinic
Proficient in drawing blood, must be able to work until 4:00 pm, work independently, familiar with OSHA regulations, required to do AED checks in all site buildings across both campuses
Registered Nurse with the State of California Board of Nursing, BLS CPR/AED certificationAbout our client
