Description
MCHC Health Centers has an opening for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team providing full-scope pediatrics care in an integrated outpatient setting. This full-time employed position gets to help cute little kids feel better. Need we say more? Our definition of primary care includes health equity, mental well-being, prevention, and social factors. This consists of a group of dedicated Medical Providers, MAs, LVN case managers, and LCSWs to provide true wrap-around care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Current BLS certificate* Possession of a furnishing license* Nurse Practitioners: Possess a valid nursing license, issued by the California State Board of Registered Nursing, and possess a valid certificate to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Two or more years' experience in pediatric care* A PPCNP-BC, CPNP, or FNP certification
RESPONSIBILITY: Employees within this classification receive limited supervision within a framework of performance standards, policies and procedures. Employees within this classification may oversee and guide the work of other personnel. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Talking and listening on the telephone, writing, reading, and communicating one-on-one: 60% of time sitting, 20% of time walking, 20% of time standing.* Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and push up to 100 pounds (on wheels).* Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person and speak clearly in order to communicate information to clients and staff.* Must have vision that is adequate to read memos, registration forms and other clinic documents. Work includes some periods of time viewing computer monitor.* Must have high manual dexterity. Some repetitive hand and wrist motions. Work includes some operation of computer keyboard.* Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to walk, bend, squat, sit for periods of up to 2 hours at a time, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist/turn, finger, grasp and feel.
