The University of Florida's School of Physician Assistant Studies (UFSPAS) is excited to invite applications for a core faculty member who will serve as the UFSPAS Director of Clinical Education. This position will be a full-time, non-tenured faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (contingent on experience). This key leadership role is integral to the success of our PA program, focusing on the development and management of clinical education components. As the Director of Clinical Education, you will work closely with PA faculty, staff, preceptors, and clinical sites to provide a seamless and enriching clinical education experience for our students.
About This Role
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative individual who is passionate about education and eager to join a dedicated, collaborative team. As Director of Clinical Education and member of the PA faculty team, your responsibilities will include:
* Clinical Education Site Development and Student Placement: Initiating and facilitating the ongoing development and expansion of clinical education sites, managing the placement of students in these settings, ensuring a diverse and comprehensive clinical education experience.* Teaching and Advising: Deliver high-quality instruction to PA students, both in classroom settings and through experiential (simulation) learning activities. Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.* Curriculum Development and Student Assessment: Work collaboratively with the faculty team on strategic planning, innovative curriculum development, and continuous review to ensure compliance with accreditation standards. Develop, monitor, and revise student evaluation instruments consistent with the outcomes of each clinical rotation, including benchmarks for standardized PAEA end-of-rotation exams, PACKRAT, and End of Curriculum Exams.* Scholarship and Service: Engage in scholarship activities and contribute to service responsibilities within the school, college, and professional community. All program faculty contribute to admissions and accreditation activities within the School of PA Studies and have opportunities to serve on committees at the College of Medicine, University, state and national level.* Clinical Practice: Maintain clinical practice within the UF Health system to ensure excellence in clinical teaching and remain current in the field.

Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program (or related medical discipline, i.e., MD or DO).
Current certification by the NCCPA and FL State licensure (or eligibility for licensure).
If applicant is not a current Florida resident, a valid license in the state of current residence is required.
Minimum of 3 years experience as a full-time clinician.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Leadership experience in PA education, clinical practice or healthcare administration.* Demonstrated effective teaching experience in the classroom and/or clinical setting.* Experience with clinical operations or clinical curricular operations.* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.* Doctoral degree in related field.
