Operating Room-Register Nurse
Full-Time, First Shift (4x10s 06:45 - 17:15)
Operating Room I Lexington
$30,000 Sign on Bonus Available for Qualified Individuals
Baptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department, 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling, a Postoperative Care Unit, an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas, and a Sterile Processing Department.
Description:
* Assessment of patients' needs.* Development of patient care plan/s* Provision of direct care.* Management of patient care delivery.* Demonstrate of leadership skills.* Support for quality care.* Customer relations and healing environment.* On call requirement weekends/holidays picked by rotation.* Operating Room Nurses provide care and support to patients before, during and after surgery.* Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking and creativity.* Must possess ability to supervise and delegate appropriate work to Patient Care Techs, Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Secretaries, and Students.
Requirements:
* Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.* Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.* Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor's degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.* Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse.* ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
