Critical Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Opportunity!
Asante is seeking a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Critical Care/ICU department at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center.
The Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide direct care for patients in our critical care departments and will be responsible for rounding on patients on our service and enter brief progress notes on patient intervened on, and bill appropriately. Provider will work closely with the nocturnal intensivist to decide on a treatment plan for new and existing patients.
Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center is a regional referral center that offers a wide range of high-quality medical care to residents of Southern Oregon & Northern California. Our 378-bed hospital combines the high-tech capabilities of a modern facility and a skilled, specialized medical staff.
Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program approved by the American Medical Association.
Licensure:
Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners (OBME). Must have an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA).Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges this includes but is not limited to, holding position-specific certifications/memberships as determined by Asante Medical Staff team (i.e. ACLS, BLS, PALS, etc.); Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.Competencies:
Prior experience with high acuity ICU patients. Must have ability to analyze problems, recognize cause and devise solutions. Procedural competency (central line, arterial line placement, HD line placements, etc.) is required. Additional procedural proficiencies are a plus. Must appreciate that we are a professional service organization, and that consideration and respect for those that we serve and with whom we interact determines our reputation, in the medical community and greater community at large.
