Job Description:Board certified NP/PA, at least 2 years of Inpatient Cardiology experience (not including RN or training experience)Accepting full-time (80 hours per pay period) and part-time (60 hours per pay period) candidates.8:00 am-4:30 pm clinic hours6:00 am-4:30 pm Cath lab hoursOpening due to growth and expansion of servicesHigh caliber, collegial teamFour 10-hour shifts after orientation completionNo call, no weekendsRotate: 1 week in hospital, 1 week in clinicWillingness to provide outreach services to nearby critical access hospitalsLow stress, engaging environmentCustom orientation adapted to your skillsOutpatient Clinic-15-18 patients per dayCath lab-6-8 patients per day4 physicians on staffThe Cardiology Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner who is manages cardiology patients under the direction of the Cardiovascular Service Director.SKILLS AND ABILITIES:- Exercises good judgment, demonstrates effective critical thinking skills- Flexible, able to prioritize and address multiple responsibilities concurrently- Works effectively under stress and frequently changing job requirements/situations- Effective verbal and written communication skills- Maintains confidentiality, thinks and acts independently with minimal supervision- Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location- Interpersonal skills necessary to work productively with patient, families, other healthcare staff, and other departments- Basic computer skills- Personal responsibility for ongoing educational growth, and collaborating with others to provide solutions for continued patient qualityPHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:- Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently- Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs- Needs adequate hearing and visual acuity, including adequate color vision- Requires fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects- Able to use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair or wheelchair- Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids- Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone- May be required to lift up to 75 pounds- May require periodic use of personal computerEPIC EMRThis is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area.
