RN-Dialysis . If you are selected for this role, you will provide dialysis care for patients at the Springdale Campus.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Primes dialyzer and bloodlinesRecords patients' medical information and vital signsReadies dialysis equipmentOversees the dialysis treatment from start to finishAccesses CannulasDemonstrates the ability to remove femoral sheaths & administer medications, including thrombolyticsCleans and dresses permanent and temporary cathetersMonitors patient and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and recordsinformationIdentifies irregular dialysis reactions and notifies appropriate medical team membersSecures blood worksTeaches patients and significant others how to manage their illness, by explaining: post-treatment homecare needs, diet/nutrition/exercise programs, self-administration of medication, if neededMaintains medical inventoryProvides pre- and post procedure care to patients within the Hemodialysis Unit
Key qualifications to be considered for this include:
License to practice as an RN in the state of ArkansasCurrent American Heart association BLS certificationMay require a current ACLS certification at start or acquired within first 60 days of employment
