The Staff Perfusionist is responsible for operation of extra-corporal equipment providing care and/ or support activities appropriate for all ages served. Duties include cardiopulmonary bypass, Auto transfusion, intra-aortic balloon pump counter pulsation, stand-by support, short and long term ventricular assist, and other related assignments deemed necessary to support Perfusion Services.
REQUIRED:
Minimum Qualifications: 1. Graduate of an accredited school of perfusion technology; 2. Currently licensed as a Perfusionist in the state of Georgia. 3. Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP). 4. BCLS required 5. Knowledge of all phases of perfusion services. Must demonstrate clinical competency in the practice of perfusion, as well as qualities of leadership and sound judgment. 6. Requires the ability to differentiate colors and shades.
PREFERRED:
1. Bachelor's degree of Science preferred 2. Three (3) years of recent clinical perfusion experience preferred.
