POSITION OVERVIEW:
The front desk scheduler/receptionist greets all patients and their families at the front desk providing the first impression of the facility. Responsible for registering patients for surgery and admission, answering incoming calls to the Surgery Center, back up for insurance authorization. Is also responsible for collection of co-pays at the front desk and accounts receivable billing, the daily schedule and surgical/Endoscopy Scheduling. Receives direction from: Supervisor/Manager.
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited program
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in GI and/or scheduling procedures preferred
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: Current CMA/LPN/RN license BLS
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Customer Service and the use of multiline phone answering. Must have some knowledge of insurance requirements and medical terminology
