Job Summary:
We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our team to develop and automate solutions for operational efficiencies and improved reliability of our Cloud Platform. As we expand customer deployments, you will work with our DevOps and Product Development teams and play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems and services.
Job Description:
- Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
- Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to promote a DevOps culture and streamline the software delivery process
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
- Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- After incidents, document actions in order to create automated solutions during incident response.
- Monitor infrastructure using SRE tools, and suggest tools as necessary
- Build monitoring alerts and incident response processes
- Improve operational processes and team practices
- Coding infrastructure automation across the CI/CD pipeline
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related discipline
- Proven work experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role
- Strong proficiency in DevOps practices and tools
- Ability to program using one or more high-level languages, such as Python and/or Java
- Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
- Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform
Experience managing and scaling enterprise scale infrastructure and experience with observability and application monitoring tools"
