Sr. BI Developer

Onsite in Dallas with Occasional Travel to manufacturing sites

Our client is modernizing their data platform and data visualization strategies from a traditional solution (SQL Server, SSIS, and Tableau) to a more modern cloud data platform using Azure SQL Managed Instance and Microsoft Fabric.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in orchestrating the transition to a modern data platform, have a deep technical understanding of Power BI and possess strong business acumen to translate customer use cases into compelling and efficient visualization designs. This role will drive innovation, enhance user experience, and enable data democratization across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of relevant experience in data platform engineering, data visualization, and business intelligence.
• Extensive experience with Power BI, including architecture, data modeling, CI/CD pipelines, security, and design principles.
• Strong knowledge of Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, On-Premise SQL Server, and Azure DevOps.
• Deep understanding of Power BI dashboard development, data visualization, ETL processes, data architecture, and data modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and handle complex data challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both business and technical teams.
• Proven experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and SSIS.
• Experience with Azure Data Lake and API-based data integration.
• Experience working with manufacturing data and familiarity with D365 Finance and Operations data structures.
• Knowledge of cloud data architecture and modern data pipeline design principles.
